The Opposite of Slick, Chicago's screen printers

Chicago’s lively underground screen-printing scene takes the spotlight in this exhibition of recent recognizable gig posters, T-shirts and art prints. This vibrant movement represents a reaction to and departure from the slick photoshopped designs that surround Chicago, like the entirety of Michigan Avenue crowded with advertisements or those plastered on buses, turning instead to handmade aesthetics and affordable processes. This exhibition features the work of accomplished artists of the visual arts including Jay Ryan, Delicious Design League, Sonnenzimer, Crosshair, Justin Santora, Sleepy Kitty, Johnny Sampson (I think he is part of the show too) and ME. Am I a Chicagoan now?
